Mrs. Maureen Ciavarella
Jodi is currently certified in Elementary Education as well as Early Childhood Education. Combined she has been teaching at the elementary and early childhood level for over 10 years. She is looking forward to joining the Bright Beginnings family where there is a strong home and school connection! Jodi is excited to help students realize their potential academically using differentiated learning, and emotionally through focusing on positive behavior. The small class sizes at Bright Beginnings, as well as the hands on learning opportunities, will help foster a life long love of learning for her students.

Jessica is certified in Early Childhood Education as well as Elementary Education. She has a Masters Degree in Reading Education and a Reading Specialist Certification. Jessica taught First Grade in Philadelphia, PA for four years and has also taught Intro to Education classes at The University of Scranton as a Graduate Student. She believes children need to feel essential to the learning process. Active learning stimulates the thought process by providing freedom in decision-making, creativity, and critical thinking skills.

Ms. Melissa Meyers
Maureen rounds out our BBELA team with many years of experience in the business and logistics industry. As a previous business owner, her experience and education is an asset to our school. Maureen graduated from Misericordia University with a degree in Applied Behavioral Science. She is also an active member of the community. She currently teaches eighth grade Faith Formation, serves as a youth mentor, and is active in music ministry. Believing in the importance of education, Maureen is a child advocate volunteering within many organizations. She currently serves as the Regional 15 Director for Pennsylvania PTA and also serves on many committees whose focus is directly related to the education and well-being of children.
Melissa is a certified Early Childhood Education teacher and brings many years of experience working with children of varying ages and abilities both inside and outside of the classroom. She also is a community volunteer who understands the importance of helping others.
Bright Beginnings has now become a continuation of her journey and she could not ask for a more perfect fit.
Bright Beginnings philosophy of small class sizes, hands-on experiences for children to construct knowledge, and the importance of family, school, and community partnerships is the reason she knows that she, and the children will have a bright future together that is filled with a love of learning!
In addition to over 15 years of experience teaching at the preschool level, Casey has taught the Summer Readiness Program for the past several years working with students in Kindergarten through 4th grade. She is an advocate to all children and understands the impact education can have on our youngest learners. She has also taught Art, Music & Movement, Drama, Cooking and many other enrichment classes at The Learning Tree in past years and more recently at BBELA. She currently serves as the Hazleton Area PTA Council President as well as the Immediate Past President of the Kiwanis Club of the Valley.
